Aesthetic Rehabilitation
The loss of teeth can have varied causes: caries, trauma and gum diseases, being the last one the main cause. Generally, the patient seeks treatment when the aesthetics is compromised, however, the absence of a tooth goes beyond this issue, as it represents compromising the integrity of the masticatory system.
When teeth are missing, those next to them and their opponents tend to move into the free space causing all kinds of imbalance in the dental arches.
To restore the masticatory functions, aesthetics and phonetics, and minimize these effects, are called dental prostheses.
